Hobson blow for Centurions

Leigh centurions front row forward Andy Hobson faces a six week lay off after breaking his arm in last Sunday's win at Dewsbury Rams.
It is a cruel bow to Hobson and the Centurions as he has been the cornerstone of the Leigh pack in recent weeks coming up with some top class performances as the club has made a wining start under new coach Neil Kelly.
But with the Centurions facing their stiffest test under Kelly's reign this Sunday, it is a blow that Leigh will have to learn to ride.
"Nothing we can do about it" said Kelly pragmatically, "Andy has been going great, and the only good thing was that it happened in the final quarter of the game by which time Andy had already done enough to help set us on our way to victory. Initially it looks like six weeks and we will keep our fingers crossed for a quick recovery."
Leigh are hoping that Toa Kohe Love is fit again, but it is something that may need rest to cure it. "Toa looks good and then it suddenly flares up again. "Explained Neil, " Hopefully he will be good for Celtic, but I will not be risking him. Dennis (Moran) did well once he had settled into the unfamiliar role at centre, but Celtic arrive as one of the top teams in the division and we will have to consider how we take them on an adjust our game plan accordingly.
" If we play against them like we did against Dewsbury or Featherstone we will lose, but if we can take the god aspects out of both those performances, then the combination will be good enough for us to pick up the three points. But it is very much up to us.
" I thought against Featherstone our attack was good but our defence was disappointing, whilst against Dewsbury we over simplified our attack to miss golden opportunities, whilst our defence was terrific. Dewsbury were no mugs with anew coach, new player on debut in Chris Charles, who went well, and a narrow defeat against Halifax the previous week. A win there in those circumstances is not to be scoffed at but it is up to us to get it right this week."
Leigh will have Mike Morrison available after missing the last couple of weeks through a suspension and an administrative misunderstanding that had seen the player fail to pay his fine, and no doubt he will want to make amends for letting his team mates down.
"Celtic are a good side, well coached and well drilled." Added Kelly, " Jace Van Dyk is a key player if fit and they have plenty of top players like Mark Dalle Court in the centre, Damian Quinn at stand off and Darren Mapp or David Tangata-Toa in the pack.
"It will be as tough as they come, but we have the players to cause a big upset."
