LEIGH Centurions head to Dewsbury Rams, Rams Stadium this Sunday boosted by the return from suspension of Chris Hill and Mike Morrison.
And they are bolstered by news that stand off Dennis Moran has no case to answer and therefore will not be in danger of receiving a suspension following his dismissal against Featherstone for fighting with Rovers prop Tony Tonks.
"It's good news to
have Morrison and Hill back, " declared Leigh's head coach Neil Kelly, "and I suppose even better that Dennis (Moran) has no case to answer.
"I always thought it was harsh decision having him sent off in the first place; after all he was only defending himself against a much bigger opponent. But it does mean that this week we do have pretty much a full squad to select from."
Morrison and Chris Hill will both come in top contention for Sunday's game, but Kelly is not guaranteeing their selection.
"I can only say that their level of fitness will give them a good chance of inclusion," said Neil.
"I looked at the Featherstone video at length and was pleased with the vast majority of the game and our discipline in it. I was however a bit disturbed about how we fell away in the last ten or fifteen minutes.
"We need players who can go the full eighty and a bit more if we are to ensure we don't lose games late on, and if players have that fitness then that is going to go a long way to getting them in the squad and ultimately the team."
Dewsbury are struggling results wise this season resulting in the sacking of Neil's brother Andy Kelly, after the defeat by Oldham. But Neil will not be on any personal revenge mission to protect family honour.
"That is not an issue at all," he laughs. "It is a pity that Andy was sacked, as I would have loved to have locked horns with him again. But my focus is purely on winning for Leigh. We have a big job to do, and will not be heading there expecting anything being gifted to us.
"They have some cracking players with Dominic Maloney steering them around the pack, and having other good players like Dean Lawford, Weedon and Walker going well. Centres Langley and Bostock are real handfuls too, so we will have it all on to win, especially at Ram stadium.
"Having said that we have a pretty full squad available and that includes Toa Kohe Love, who limped out of the warm up against Featherstone. He is fit and told me at training on Monday he was desperate to play if selected. The good thing about the Bank Holiday weekend off was that it did allow players who had picked up knocks the chance to shake them off.
"It will be tough at Dewsbury , and we know that. But we will be going there in the right frame of mind to pick up a win."
